Cooperstown is located in the Central Leatherstocking Region of upstate New York. It is 70 miles west of Albany, 30 miles south of the New York State Thruway (I-90), and 16 miles north of Oneonta.
Beaver Valley is located approximately 4
½ miles south of Cooperstown.

From Cooperstown:
Follow State Route 28 South approx. 4 miles. Go past McDonalds & traffic light. Take next right onto Seminary Rd. 1½ miles to “T” junction. Turn left on Towers Rd. Beaver Valley is 1 mile on left.
From New York City:   There is no easy way to get from NYC to Cooperstown!
We offer the following options:

bulletBest Route:
To Avoid the Catskill Mountains (northerly):

Follow the NYS Thruway North to Exit 21
Follow Rt 23 to Rt 145.
Follow Rt 145 for about an hour and a half to Interstate 88 in Cobleskill
Follow I-88 West toward Binghamton
Take Exit 17 and Follow State Rt. 28 North 12-13 miles
Go past Dreams Park. Take next left on Seminary Rd.

To Avoid the Catskill Mountains (southerly):
Follow Route 17 West toward Binghamton
In Deposit follow Route 8 North to Sidney
Follow I-88 East toward Albany
Take Exit 17 and Follow State Rt. 28 North 12-13 miles
Go past Dreams Park. Take next left on Seminary Rd.

Scenic Route: Follow the NYS Thruway North to Exit 21
Follow Route 23 West into Oneonta
Follow I-88/State Route 28 East toward Albany
Take Exit 17 and Follow State Rt. 28 North 12-13 miles
Go past Dreams Park. Take next left on Seminary Rd.

Longer Scenic Route:
(RV's: this route is mountainous with many stops and starts)
Follow the NYS Thruway North to Kingston Exit 19
Follow Route 28 West into Oneonta
Follow I-88/State Route 28 East toward Albany
Take Exit 17 and Follow State Rt. 28 North 2-13 miles
Go past Dreams Park. Take next left on Seminary Rd.

From the West: (Niagara Falls, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica)
Via Toll Road:  (RV's: There is a huge hill between Mohawk and Richfield Springs.)
Follow the New York State Thruway (I-90) to Exit 30 (Herkimer)
Take State Route 28 South to Cooperstown

To Avoid most of the Toll and the Hill:
In Syracuse, follow I-81 South to Route 20 East
--OR-- In Utica, follow Route 8 South to Route 20 East
In Richfield Springs, Follow State Route 28 South to Cooperstown

To Avoid the NYS Thruway Toll:
In Erie, PA, Follow Route 17 East into NY. Go through Corning,
Elmira and into Binghamton. Take I-88 East toward Albany.
Take Exit 17 and Follow State Rt. 28 North 12-13 miles
Go past Dreams Park. Take next left on Seminary Rd.

From the East: (Massachusetts, New Hampshire)
Follow Mass Turnpike (I-90) West to New York State
Stay on I-90 West through Albany (the tolls are cheaper)
Follow I-90 West to the 2nd Schenectady exit--Exit 25A.
You will see signs for I-88 toward Binghamton
Follow I-88 a good hour or so into Oneonta (enjoy the scenery!)
Take Exit 17 and Follow State Rt. 28 North 12-13 miles
Go past Dreams Park. Take next left on Seminary Rd.
From the South: (Binghamton, The Poconos)
Follow I-88 East toward Albany
Take Exit 17 and Follow State Rt. 28 North 12-13 miles
Go past Dreams Park. Take next left on Seminary Rd.
Approximate Driving Times:
Albany, NY: 1½ hours Binghamton, NY: 1½ hours
Boston, MA: 4½ hours Cleveland, OH: 8 hours
New York City: 4-5½ hours Niagara Falls: 5 hours
Syracuse, NY: 2½ hours Oneonta, NY: 20 minutes
